Newfield Rise is an exciting Measham development of 30 new two, three and four-bedroom homes, including a mix of houses and apartments.
Located within the Leicestershire National Forest, this charming collection offers village life within easy reach of Burton upon Trent, Tamworth and Leicester. Inside every home, you’ll find a modern kitchen, a welcoming master bedroom and an elegant bathroom, but each of the nine layouts available has its own distinctive charm.
Ian Burns, managing director of Cameron Homes, said: “We received a letter from HS2 yesterday (18 July) stating that, following a change to the planned route of HS2, the Newfield Rise development is now likely to be impacted by the railway line, either during its build and/or operation.
“This news has come out of the blue and we are urgently engaged in talks with HS2 and our professional advisors to establish what the impact on the development will be.
“We have contacted our customers to make them aware of the situation and will provide further updates in due course.”
The village of Measham is thought to date back to the first century, and clues about its rich history are still visible today.
St Laurence’s Church was built in 1340 and still serves as the centre of the community. More recent additions to the village high street include a range of cafés, shops and local amenities. Less than two miles from the A42, the village is superbly placed for travelling around the region, with Burton upon Trent, Tamworth and Leicester all within easy reach.
Nearby Swadlincote is home to an ODEON cinema, and Burton upon Trent’s Coopers Square shopping centre offers a range of high street names, including Next, Marks and Spencer and River Island.
Newfield Rise lies less than three miles from Willesley Park Golf Club. With a picturesque 18-hole course, a large driving range and a pro shop, it’s a haven for golfers of all abilities.
Closer still, Measham Leisure Centre offers a variety of activities and fitness classes, including pilates, tai chi and zumba. The village also has a number of football clubs and a kids’ karate club that has produced several English champions.
There’s plenty nearby to keep the whole family entertained, including Twycross Zoo and the award-winning Conkers attraction, with indoor and outdoor adventure activities.
Three well-regarded primary schools can be found within half a mile of home. Measham Church of England Primary School, Saint Charles Catholic Primary School and Oakthorpe Primary School are each rated ‘good’ by OFSTED.
