Cameron crew sign up for charity chase

Three teams of staff from Cameron Homes have just signed up for one of the Midlands’ largest treasure hunts.

The 12 employees of Cameron Homes will be taking part in ‘The Big App-Venture’ next month when they will raise hundreds of pounds for charity.

The staff will be joining teams from throughout the region on October 9 for the annual event, when they will be sent on a secret trail across Birmingham.

Karen Meades of Cameron Homes, which builds housing developments across central England, said that there would be fierce competition amongst her colleagues.

“Each team receives an iPad with a special app to enable us to take part in a massive treasure hunt when we search for geo-hotspots, complete challenges and ultimately reveal a mystery location somewhere in Birmingham for a secret after party,” she explained.

“We are a very competitive bunch at Cameron and I know that we are all looking forward to the day and to proving who is the best at following the trail,” added Karen, who is a buyer at the company.

The event is in aid of the Make Some Noise charity which changes young lives across the UK. Last year it raised two million pounds, helping little known orgnisations to continue their vital work.

Team registration costs £40 and each person taking part needs to raise a minimum of £100 per person so Cameron Homes will collect at least £1,320 by their participation.
