Councillor views progress of marina development

Councillor Jeanette Taylor of Barton Parish Council’s planning sub committee visited our site at Barton Marina recently to view progress.

She said that since receiving the go ahead for the development Cameron Homes had been in close consultation with the council.

“It was a successful visit – I was shown around and was able to see how the building work is progressing.

“Although the parish council was initially against the expansion of the marina, which we regarded as a leisure destination, we are now liaising with Cameron Homes on a regular basis and are pleased to see that the roads are being kept clean and tidy.”

Andy Gough, sales and marketing director of Cameron, said that there was strong interest in the new scheme, called Lakeside Apartments, with several of the properties, priced from £185,000, sold already.

Some of the homes, which will be built in three blocks linked by a gatehouse in a carefully landscaped development, will have views over the marina, others will face the large lake at the site.
