Plans have been announced for a new housing development in a village near Tamworth.

Cameron Homes, a family-owned building company based in Burntwood, is behind the new scheme in Warton.

The company has just acquired a piece of land off Barn End Road and will start work on the site next year.

“We will be providing a development of 30 properties in Warton, which is five miles from Tamworth,” said Danielle Goffe-Wood of Cameron Homes, which has been building properties in Staffordshire for over 20 years.

There will be a mix of four bedroom homes detached homes, together with 12 affordable properties comprising of one to three-bedroom bungalows and mews style houses.

These will range in size from one-bedroom flats to two bedroom bungalows and houses.

“We are expecting this to be a very popular development as it is set in a rural location but with good access to the facilities in Tamworth and to the M42.

“Construction work will start next summer, with the first homes going on the market in the autumn of 2018,” Danielle added.
