Children from a Staffordshire nursery school have been proving that you are never too young to think about a career…
The three and four year olds from Little People Nursery in Burntwood are taking part in a project about ‘the jobs people do’.
Deputy Manager Nicky Warren explained that one of the industries they looked at was building.
“We have set up a construction site in the nursery to make the role play area as realistic as possible for the children, to increase their learning.
“Local building firm Cameron Homes was then contacted for some information and we were delighted that they agreed to donate some high viz jackets and hard hats.
“Immediately all the children wanted to play in the construction area so that they could wear them – it was a big success.”
Danielle Goffe-Wood of Cameron Homes, which is developing a range of properties in Burntwood and Chasetown, said that they were happy to help out.
“We are always looking to nurture young talent and encourage people into the construction sector so it’s great to see little ones showing such interest!
“The firm is also a very safety-conscious company and are always happy to do something for the local community.”
