Work has started on a new housing development in the Rushall area of Walsall.
Cameron Homes is set to provide a selection of 26 family properties at the location of a former residential home in Lichfield Road.
Demolition work is now underway on site and the first homes at the new development, to be called Chestnut Rise, will go on sale in January, with a show home being launched in the spring.
Amanda Gales, sales manager for family-owned company Cameron Homes, based in Chasetown, said that the firm has a long history of providing housing in this area around Walsall, with four successful sites completed here in recent years.
She commented: “We are pleased to be regenerating this prominent location in Rushall – we will be building a mix of three and four bedroom properties and this new high quality housing scheme will bring new life to the area.”
Rough guide prices will range from around £210,000 for a three-bedroom house and four bedroom homes will be marketed at around £270,000.
