Things are looking brighter for youngsters in a Worcestershire village thanks to a donation from a building company.
Cameron Homes, which is providing a new housing development in Pinvin, near Pershore, has handed over a £200 cheque and mini high visibility vests to the community pre-school group.
The vests will be worn by the children, aged from two to four, so that the can be clearly seen by traffic when they go on outings around the village.
Hana Malins, business support co-ordinator for the pre-school, which is a registered charity, thanked Cameron for the donation.
“We are very grateful – the vests will make our trips much safer and the £200 donation will go towards our fund-raising efforts for a new premises,” she said.
The group is based at Pinvin Memorial Hall, which is being condemned.
Danielle Gadsby, of Cameron Homes, said that the firm was happy to help out as part of its community involvement work.
The company recently opened an office in Stratford-upon-Avon and is building 40 new properties at the ‘Hayfields’ development in Upton Snodsbury Road in Pinvin.
The scheme features two, three, four and five bedroom homes, with 16 of these being allocated as affordable homes for local people.
Prices for properties start at £255,000 for a two bedroom semi detached design with an upstairs study and go up to £550,000 for a detached home with four bedrooms.
