Cameron signs up for X runner

A team of staff from Cameron Homes will be wading through mud, crawling through fire pits and swimming through open water this weekend – all in aid of charity.

The 16 employees of Cameron’s Central Region and head office, based in Chasetown, are participating in an X Runner event on Saturday September 22 in Brailsford, Derbyshire, described as the ‘ultimate adult obstacle course’.

Adam Routley, senior technical coordinator of Cameron, explained that the course also included four metre freefalls, monkey bars and 5/10km runs.

“We are well and truly putting our neck on the line in the name of fundraising and have already collected over £2,000 for the ‘Let us Play’ charity,” he said.

The charity provides sports, arts, play and outings for children with special needs and disabilities in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
