A major donation from a building company has meant that Worcestershire pupils are now enjoying their school play times even more.
Cameron Homes, which has an office in Stratford, has handed over a £2,500 cheque to Pinvin CE First School.
The school is located near to the company’s ‘Hayfields’ development, has used the money to completely resurface their playground over the summer holidays.
Bex Chatterton, Head of school, expressed her thanks for the financial boost.
She said: “Pinvin Federation of Schools are very grateful indeed for the generous donation received from Cameron Homes.
“As it was made before the summer holiday, we were able to complete the playground re-surfacing and re-marking project in time for when the children returned to school at the beginning of September.
“The pupils have been absolutely thrilled to see and enjoy their new playground environment.
“Playtimes have been enriched for all our children thanks to the help from Cameron Homes,” she added.
Cameron is building 40 new properties at the Hayfields development in Upton Snodsbury Road in Pinvin.
The scheme features two, three, four and five bedroom homes, with 16 of these being allocated as affordable homes for local people.
Prices for properties start at £255,000 for a two bedroom semi detached design with an upstairs study and go up to £550,000 for a detached home with four bedrooms.
