Two team members went above and beyond to win an in-house competition this year – travelling almost 6,000 miles to claim their prize.
The idea was set up as a way to launch Cameron and Galliers' new ‘Steps to Success’ initiative, which aims to improve customer service. All employees of the firm were asked to take part the contest to see who could take a branded company bag the furthest.
The miles were worked out from Cameron’s head office in Chasetown, Staffordshire, to the place on the photograph.
Technical manager Louise Dwyer and assistant site manager John Cousins managed the furthest - 5,968 miles to Thailand -and so won themselves £100 worth of High Street vouchers, presented by Craig White, commercial manager.
Lots of staff members entered the competition, travelling near and far to destinations including Wales, Cornwall, France, Poland and Africa.
But they were all trounced by Lou and John’s epic journey to the Far East.
