Cameron Homes, which is building a range of housing developments in the county, has handed over £100 book vouchers to Hulland Church of England School, near Ashbourne.
Wendy Underwood, head teacher at the school, thanked the company and said that the vouchers would support the development of the school library.
“The books chosen will motivate learning for pleasure, promote reading across the school and help to create successful readers,” she commented.
Baljit Johal, marketing executive of Cameron Homes, said that the company, which expanded into a new East Midlands office in Castle Donington recently, had just started work on its new Hulland Ward development in the village, called Woodgate Point, providing 33 three, four and five-bedroom homes.
“We are a family-owned firm and always keen to get involved with the community and support local organisations, schools, clubs and charities where possible so it was our pleasure to donate the book vouchers to Hulland Church of England School.”
