We know how stressful home repairs can be, especially when you’re not sure if it’s a problem that needs fixed urgently. Here is our guide to issues that are considered a home emergency. If you experience any of these problems, please call our emergency contact number for assistance at any time.
Leaks
If you have a leak that causes damage or risks causing damage and it can’t be contained.
Blocked drains or toilets
If you experience any flooding, either internally or externally, or if your toilets aren’t functioning.
Water supply
If your water supply stops and your water supplier has confirmed that the water has not been turned off locally.
Central heating
If your heating system or hot water fails and you’ve checked that your timers and thermostat are functioning and your utility company has confirmed there are no local issues.
Door locks
If your external doors will not lock and your home is not secure.
Loss of electricity
If you have a total loss of power throughout your home and you’ve tried to reset the trip switch and your electricity provider has confirmed there is no local outage.
Gas leak
If you suspect a gas leak or smell gas, please contact the Gas Emergency service immediately on 0800 111 999.
