The home selling process can sometimes feel daunting, but we are here to help. Our Home Sell service, exclusively for our customers, is simple, straightforward and totally free of charge. Step one: A valuation for your home

Once you've found your perfect Cameron home, speak to one of our sales advisors to begin the valuation process on your current home. We’ll invite two established local estate agents to value your current property, then based on their estimates, we will recommend the best-selling price to you. The cost of the valuations will be covered courtesy of us.

Step two: Getting the best mortgage

Securing the right mortgage for you is an important stage in the selling process. We have a great relationship with people who specialise in the new homes market and we would be more than happy to put you in touch with an independent financial advisor.

Initial discussions come at no cost whatsoever and you’ll have access to mortgages not always available on the high street. For more information on speaking to an independent advisor, visit our ‘Getting a mortgage’ page.

Step three: On the market

Once you’re happy with the selling price for your home, we’ll appoint both estate agents to put it on the market, promote it, liaise with you personally and organise viewings.

Step four: An offer for your home

You’ll hear all offers on your home before you decide on the one that’s right for you. Once you’ve accepted an offer, we’ll work alongside your solicitors to complete the sale of your current home, reserve your new home, then eventually complete that purchase.

Throughout this stage, our pre-owned homes team, sales advisors, solicitors and financial advisors will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Terms and conditions

  • We instruct independent valuations from two registered local high street estate agents. If you have a preference for which agent you’d prefer, we’re  happy to include them
  • The valuation is based on achieving a sale within 6 -8 weeks
  • If there is more than a 5% difference in valuations, a third valuation will be instructed and an average selling price will be offered
  • Once the valuation selling price is confirmed, we allow 48hrs for you to accept the selling price of your home. 
  • We do not hold the Cameron home until you have accepted the valuation selling price of your home and paid the reservation fee of £1,000 
  • Once your reservation is confirmed, we will hold your preferred Cameron home for a period of 6 weeks, while we work with the estate agent to secure the right offer for your home
  • We review progress at the end of 6 weeks  If you have accepted an offer for your home, we will confirm your full reservation and issue contracts to your solicitors
  • If you have not received or accepted an offer within 6 weeks, we will identify any actions to increase viewings and secure an offer. If you prefer not to take additional action, we will cancel your reservation and refund a percentage of the reservation fee you paid
  • Properties that may not qualify for this programme include commercial property or residential homes above commercial property 
  • Homes with a value of more than 70% of the purchase price of the Cameron home may not qualify
  • We reserve the right to withdraw this promotion at any time
  • The agreed estate agents commission for promoting and selling your home will be paid by Cameron Homes provided your reservation progresses to exchange of contracts. 
  • In the event that you cancel your reservation, any fees due to the estate agent will be your responsibility to pay. 
  • Our Home Sell scheme is available upon request at our discretion and may not apply to all purchasers. Please speak to a sales advisor for more details.
