Every resident pays an annual estate charge to cover the cost of all works that need to be undertaken on behalf of the Residents Management Company (RMC). This includes lawn mowing, hedge cutting, maintenance works and management of the accounts.
An estimate of the estate charge will have been given to you when you reserved your home. Please note this was only an estimate as to the maintenance costs expected to be incurred in connection with your scheme because at that time no works had yet been undertaken. The estimate will stay in place until the first year of accounts has been produced by the Managing Agent.
APARTMENT OWNERS
If you own an apartment and are a leaseholder, the person or company that owns the freehold will appoint the Managing Agent on your behalf. Your yearly service charge will cover the maintenance works for communal parts of your apartment building, such as external window cleaning, internal stairs, and hallway cleaning, lift maintenance, and servicing together with the buildings insurance and management of the accounts. The service charge will be detailed and provided to you.
